5 Ways to Stay Engaged With Your Teen
Led by Adam Simon
Parenting can be an absolute joy, but there is a natural tendency for children to pull away during the teenage years. While this can be really good—as they learn to make their own decisions—you don’t want them to drift away completely. The best way to prevent this from happening: ENGAGEMENT.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says “There is a season for everything, and a time for every matter under heaven.” During the teenage years: There is a time to CORRECT…and a time to CONNECT. A time to TALK…and a time to LISTEN. A time to ANSWER...and a time to ASK QUESTIONS.
As a parent, we’ve all flip-flopped one (or all) of these at times. Instead of drifting apart or feeling disconnected, imagine being able to effectively engage, connect, and adjust with your teen as they navigate these difficult years. Join us for a 5-week conversation where you will be equipped, challenged, and motivated anew to stay engaged and active through your child’s teen years. Connect with other parents and hear their stories as we seek to lead our teens to maturity.
